Tone P Featured in TV One Black Music Month Campaign

Washington, D.C. producer and cultural advocate Tone P was featured in a national Black Music Month campaign for TV One, highlighting the influence and legacy of Black music across generations. The commercial prominently featured Tone P’s feel-good Go-Go inspired record The Beat Goes On, a pop-leaning Go-Go track celebrating rhythm, culture, and musical continuity.

Filmed in Bethesda, Maryland, the campaign also included appearances from celebrity chef Bren Herrera and radio personality Vic Jagger of Magic 102.3. Tone P was not only featured musically in the commercial, but also appeared on camera as a musician representing Washington, D.C.’s vibrant music culture.

The production was overseen by TV One executives Tracy Uy and Deirdre Leake-Butcher, bringing together music, food, and media personalities to celebrate the impact of Black creativity.

With “The Beat Goes On” serving as the soundtrack, the campaign highlighted Tone P’s signature ability to blend accessible pop melodies with the rhythmic spirit of Washington, D.C.’s official music, Go-Go, continuing his mission to introduce the sound and culture of the city to broader audiences.
